Krunoslav Marić received his primary and secondary education in Rijeka, and graduated in 2007 from the Academy of Music in Zagreb, in the class of prof. Maje Dešpalj Begović. After completing his studies, he trained in the class of Prof. Ilye Grubert at the Fondazione musicale Santa Cecilia in Portogruaro (Italy). As a soloist, he performed with the Opera Orchestra of the Croatian National Theater Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka, with the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Zagreb, with the Arad Philharmonic (Romania) and with the Zagreb Soloists. He is the winner of several awards at state competitions.

 

Even during his studies, he was actively engaged in chamber music, so in 2005 he recorded a sound carrier with the works of A. Webern and J. Š. with the Academic String Quartet. Slavenski, published by the Croatian Music Institute. He records successful performances in Croatia and abroad.

 

He recorded for Croatian Radio and Television and Italian RAI. He also collaborates with film and stage music composers. His footage can be found in many documentaries and feature films as well as contemporary ballet performances. Collaborated with many orchestras in Croatia and abroad. He improved his skills at seminars of prominent pedagogues in the country and abroad.

 

In 2015, together with pianist Filip Fak and cellist Vid Veljak, he founded the Rijeka Piano Trio, with which he performs regularly in Croatia and abroad, and the trio’s tour in China was particularly successful. He is actively engaged in pedagogy. He teaches at the Vatroslav Lisinski School of Music and is a member of numerous judging commissions. As a guest concert master, he collaborated with the opera orchestra of the Croatian National Theater Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka and the Sarajevo Philharmonic. Since 2007, he has been a permanent member of the Zagreb Soloists.
