Antal Papp
Antal Papp was born in 1978 in Koprivnica. He started playing the double bass at the age of 25, when he got his first lesson with prof. Dragutina Dances at Varaždin Secondary Music School. In 2003, he entered the Academy of Music in Zagreb in the class of prof. After graduation, Maria Ivelje began working in the HRT Symphony Orchestra.
In 2009, Antal moves to Freiburg and begins training at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg with the respected prof. God Paradžika. Soon he began working at the Philharmonisches Orchester Freiburg.
At that time he cooperated with many orchestras such as Swr Sinfonieorchester Baden-Baden und Freiburg, Lucerner Sinfonieorchester, Sudwestdeutschen Kammerorchester Pforzheim, Württembergischen Kammerorchesters Heilbronn..

Since 2016, he has been a member of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra as the deputy principal double bassist.
2022. Since 2016, he became the principal bassist in the renowned ensemble Zagreb Soloists, and in the same year, he began working at the Academy of Music as an assistant double bass instructor.
