Đana Kahriman, violin
Đana Kahriman was born in Dubrovnik, in 1989.
She began to play violin at the age of 7, at the Music School Luka Sorkocevic in Dubrovnik, under prof. Ivančica Kalanj. In 2011 she gratuated from Zagreb Music Academy under prof. Leonid Sorokow, with whom she continued her postgraduate study. She is a five times first prize winner of Croatian National Competition, as well as winner of international competitions Rudolf Matz and Etudes and scales (Croatia)
Verdi Note (Italy), Beethoven Competition (Austria) and International Violin Competition in Kazakhstan.
As a soloists she has performed with orchestras such as Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Kaunas Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Croatian Radio and Television, Varaždin Chamber Orchestra, Zadar Chamber Orchestra and Zagreb Soloists.
She has also performed at many festivals in country and abroad (Austria, Italy, Liechtenstein, Poland, Slovenia, Srbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, USA, Germany ), some of which are: Senj Musical Evenings, Musical evenings in St. Donat, Samobor music festival, Music biennale, Croatian Music Festival in Vienna, Young Musicians Festival in Lithuania, Franjo Krežma Memorial, Musica Eterna, Amadeo , Epidaurus festival, Music festival in Pula, Virtuoso, Festival of Croatian Culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina, performance at representing Dubrovnik in New York.
She attended masterclasses with distinguished professors such as L. Sorokow, M. Sorokowa, G. Končar, A. Sešek, G. Zhislin, A. Vinnitski, A. Sorokow, Z. Bron, B. Kuschnir, P. Zukerman.
