His skilled commitment to the works of Niccolò Paganini has gained him much critical acclaim, including his performance with the New York Philharmonic in March 2006, his complete recording of the six violin concertos (Telos Records) and featuring in the television documentary “Paganinis Geheimnis” (Paganini’s Secret) in merkur.tv in 2006.
His extensive repertoire cuts across all genres, and has been documented in a total of over 40 albums. His celebrated premiere performances have gained worldwide recognition, and have led to the works being adopted into the standard concert repertoire.
In 2005, Ingolf Turban founded the “I Virtuosi di Paganini” chamber orchestra. In 2006, after having taught at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart for eleven years, he accepted an invitation to take up a professorship at the University of Music and Theatre in Munich, Germany.
