Award-winning Swedish pianist Peter Jablonski has been in demand around the globe for nearly three decades as one of the leading classical music performers. His eclectic and extensive repertoire includes over fifty piano concertos by European, Russian, and American composers and all piano sonatas by Prokofiev.
Praised by Claudio Abbado for his sensitive interpretations, Jablonski is known for his extraordinary breadth of understanding and insight into the piano masterpieces he has been performing on major world stages. He has appeared with world leading orchestras such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Kirov, La Scala Philharmonic, Tonhalle Zurich, Orchestre Nationale de France, NHK Tokyo, DSO Berlin, Warsaw Philharmonic, Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Jablonski was awarded the prestigious Edison and Grammophone Classical Music awards for his extensive discography made for Decca, Deutsche Grammophon, and Philips. In January 2018 he signed a multi-disk recording contract with Ondine, which will include recordings of Scriabin’s complete mazurkas, the complete sonatas by Anton Rubinstein, and works by Aleksey Stanchinsky.
Jablonski is a Steinway Artist and recipient of the Litteris et Artibus medal for his services to culture, granted to him by the King of Sweden, Carl XVI Gustaf. He was granted a prestigious prize Svenskar i Världen (International Swedish Personality of the Year), receiving it before ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, and Astrid Lindgren.
