Impressions of the recording session with one of today’s leading cellists: Marc Coppey, winner of the Leipzig Bach Competition, is featured in his new album in the dual role of artistic director and soloist of the Zagreb Soloists for the first time. The recording presents Haydn’s Cello Concertos, milestones in the history of cello music, and the free-spirited A major Concerto by C. P. E. Bach.
World famous cellists Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser performed with the Zagreb Soloists at the 62nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival on Aug 9, 2011 at the Rector's Palace Atrium. Apart from many classical music pieces by composers such as Giovanni Sollima, Ernst Bloch, Antonio Vivaldi and P. I. Čajkovski they gave the Festival audience a glimpse into their new album by performing interpretations of 'Smells like teen spirit', 'WIth or Without You' and their most famous cover song, 'Smooth Criminal'. Unique ambiance of indoor and open air venues of the historical City of Dubrovnik makes a perfect stage for many theater, music, opera and dance performances, that take place at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival from July 10 to August 25 each year. The Dubrovnik Summer Festival has been a member of the European Festival Association since 1956.
