– We played in the world’s largest halls, kings, diplomats and all kinds of elite, but despite our experience, we were all impatiently waiting for this concert in an unusual place in front of our fellow citizens. I can say that it was special, and the energy we felt was incredible – said the violinist and president of the ensemble’s Governing Council, Krunoslav Mari\u0107<\/strong>, and announced that he would play for the whole year, congratulating the citizens who came with one question – when can I see them again?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The audience at Dolac enjoyed the announced compositions by Mozart, Sorko\u010devi\u0107 and Gardel’s Tango from the movie ‘Scent of a Woman’, and as the gathered did not want to disperse, the Soloists also played Astor Piazzolla’s ‘Liber tango’. While the majority of those gathered mostly accepted the well-known tango melodies, better classical connoisseurs praised Mozart’s ‘Divertimento in D major’, which is in line with the Viennese saying ‘if you want to listen to Mozart, go to Zagreb to listen to the Soloists’.<\/p>\n

The Zagreb soloists will soon announce the date and place of the next concert from the “Gift to the People of Zagreb” series, and those who want to listen to them in concert conditions can do so on February 16 at the Croatian Music Institute in Gunduli\u0107eva.<\/p>\n
