In September 2022 she launched her first Sony Classical CD at Carnegie Hall, enriching flute repertoire with pieces written by composer Jorge Grundman. Her discography also includes a CD, recorded for Pentatone, that features chamber music with arrangements of some of the greatest works for flute and strings. This CD, <\/span>Old Souls<\/span><\/i>,\u00a0 features some of Gili\u2019s most beloved chamber music partners: violinist Guy Braunstein, violist Amihai Grosz, and cellist Alisa Weilerstein.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Among her solo and chamber music performances, Gili has also toured with the West Eastern Divan Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Daniel Barenboim for several years, and she enjoys giving masterclasses to young talents as well.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n During the 2020 Covid lockdowns, while unable to travel and perform, Gili had the special opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream to bring her own compositions to life. Her new path took off quickly, and in 2022 the Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin premiered her first orchestral work <\/span>Portrait<\/span><\/i>. Joined by the exciting choreography by Christopher Wheeldon, this piece will be performed in June 2023 by the dancers of the Royal Ballet and San Francisco Ballet in Festival Paax in Mexico, conducted by Maestra Alondra de la Parra.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gili\u2019s first complete work was commissioned by renowned cellist and dear friend Alisa Weilerstein, as a part of her project FRAGMENTS which will be premiered in 2023 in Toronto, Santa Barbara, San Diego and New York.
