Tajana Škorić (born in Osijek, 1994) completed her secondary music education in Osijek under the tutelage of Professor Tomislav Huhn. She earned a Master’s degree in viola performance in 2017 under the guidance of Professor Milan Čunko at the Music Academy in Zagreb. During her studies, she won first prizes at the national HDGPP competitions in both the viola and chamber music categories.
In the 2015 Papandopulo competition for young musicians in Croatia, she won third prize with her string quartet, which was also awarded the Dean’s prize. In 2016, she won third prize in the viola category and the prize for best performance of a work by a Croatian composer.
During the 2013/2014 season, she was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra. She has also attended numerous seminars and masterclasses as a soloist and chamber musician, working with renowned musicians such as Maria Vermes, Bruno Giuranna, Sven Arne Tepl, Guy Ben-Ziony, Hariolf Schlichtig, and the Belcea Quartet.
In Croatia, she collaborates with various orchestras and ensembles, and is a permanent member of the Oktos ensemble. Since 2019, she has been employed by the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra.
