At the age of 6, LUKA GALUF showed an interest in playing the cello and soon enrolled at GU Elly Bašić, in the class of Professor Bernarda Debuš Redžić. During his studies, he attended numerous seminars of top musicians and pedagogues such as Silvija Sondeckijene (Lithuania), Andrej Petrač (Slovenia), Alexander Volpov (Russia), Ilija Laporev (Luxembourg), Orfeo Mandozzi (Switzerland) and Pablo de Naveran (Belgium). He graduated from the International Menuhin Academy (Switzerland) in the class of professors Pablo de Naverano and Clemens Hagen and was a member and leader of the cello section of the Menuhin Academy soloists chamber orchestra.
As a member of the IMMA soloist, he collaborated and performed with numerous international artists such as Renaud Capucon, Gabor Takacs-Nagy, Liviu Prunaru, Gerard Causse, Gilles Appap, Michael Guttman, Nelson Goerner, Boris Brovtsyn, Pierre Bleuse, Antonio Lysy, Anastasia Kobekina, Igor Keller, Oleg Kaskiv (leader of IMMA soloists) and many others. As a chamber musician, he performed at numerous festivals, of which the Menuhin Festival, the Pablo Casals Festival, and Les Grand Interpretes stand out.
As part of the academy, he had the opportunity to attend seminars by top musicians such as Gabor Takacs-Nagy, Philippe Muller, Vladimir Mendelssohn, Alban Gerhardt and many others.
Luka is the winner of numerous awards such as: two Oscars of Knowledge at the National Competitions of Young Musicians in Croatia, two first prizes at the International Petar Konjović String Competition, first prize at the International Competition Daleki Akordi, second prize and a concert with the Zadar Chamber Orchestra at the International Janigro Junior Competition 2022 and is the winner of the tenth cycle of concerts by young musicians Vinko Lesić in 2021.
