Tajana Škorić (Osijek, 1994) graduated from secondary music school in Osijek in the class of professor Tomislav Huhn. She received her master’s degree in viola in 2017 in the class of Professor Milan Čunk at the Academy of Music in Zagreb. During her education, she won first prizes at the state HDGPP competitions, in the discipline of viola, and in the discipline of chamber ensembles. In 2015, she won 3rd prize with a string quartet at the Papandopulo Croatian competition for young musical artists, for which the quartet was awarded the Dean’s Award. 2016. In 2016, at the same competition, in the viola category, she won the 3rd prize and the award for the best performance of a work by a Croatian composer. In the 2013/2014 season, she was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra. During her education, she improved her skills at numerous seminars and masterclasses as a soloist and as a chamber musician (Maria Vermes, Bruno Giuranna, Sven Arne Tepl, Guy Ben-Ziony, Hariolf Schlichtig, Belcea Quartet…). In Croatia, she collaborates with numerous orchestras and ensembles. She is a permanent member of the Oktos ensemble, and since 2019 she has been employed in the orchestra of the Zagreb Philharmonic.
