Violin

Marko Glogović (1999) graduated from the Music Academy in Zagreb, under the guidance of Professor Davor Philips. He began his musical education at the age of 6 at the Ivan Zajc Elementary Music School in Zagreb, where he took violin lessons with Professor Ines Ana Tomić. After only a few months of playing, he participated in the international string competition “Rudolf Matz,” where he won a special prize.

 

During his schooling, he achieved success and received awards at numerous other national and international competitions.

 

In 2009, he continued his musical education at the Pavle Markovac Music School in Zagreb, and in 2010, he began studying violin with Professor Davor Philips. In 2017, he enrolled at the Music Academy in Professor Philips’s class.

 

As a soloist, he has performed with the Zagreb Soloists, the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the String Orchestra of the Music Academy, and the Orchestra of the Professors of the Pavle Markovac Music School. Since 2020, he has been an external collaborator with the Zagreb Soloists, and in 2022, he passed the audition to become a member of the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra.

 

For his performance of Aram Khachaturian’s Violin Concerto with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, he was awarded the Rector’s Award for the academic year 2018/2019.
